Provides financial assistance for volunteers needing additional support to defray costs to engage in activities with youth, including gas funds, snacks, and meals for outings and activity tickets.
Every child needs someone in their corner. For children and youth navigating their insecure home lives and the foster care system, that person can make all the difference in the world. Alameda County Court Appointed Special Advocates (ACCASA) recruits, trains, and supports dedicated volunteers to be the constant in a child’s life — a voice in court and a trusted mentor. A CASA is often the one person they can consistently count on for compassion, guidance, advocacy, and information as they seek the stability of family and the opportunity to secure a better future.
